A Capital Markets Associate is responsible for providing analysis of changes in the external and competitive landscape that may impact the realization of product and service business cases, financial performance, and client satisfaction. The role involves contributing to the capital markets Client Execution Services effort through market and client segmentation analysis, profiling, and researching existing and potential accounts. Additionally, the associate prepares marketing materials, including teasers, pitch books, and detailed investment summaries for the firm's products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and monitoring investors' due diligence processes.
  • Compiling presentation materials, market analysis, and preparing remarks for senior management during investor meetings and tours.
  • Assisting with annual budget and mid-year re-forecast preparations.
  • Supporting the formation of capital structures for commercial real estate transactions and related documentation efforts.
  • Conducting annual risk assessments of trading desks and other business units.
  • Planning and executing significant projects to establish or enhance compliance and supervisory controls, including implementing regulations concerning the trading of securities-based swaps.

Qualifications for this position typically include a relevant degree such as Bachelor's or University Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, MBA, Real Estate, Education, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business/Administration. Desired skills include the ability to leverage information in creating customized customer solutions, interpreting and drawing accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material, and knowledge of major issues, products, and services in the financial services industry
